Immerso nel verde della campagna piemontese, ad Agrate Conturbia (Novara), un antico casolare recuperato è stato trasformato in un luogo dedicato all’espressione artistica: si tratta di CASCINA I.D.E.A. (Independent Domus Exhibiting Art), il nuovo progetto di Nicoletta Rusconi Art Projects inaugurato ufficialmente il 1° agosto e visitabile fino a dicembre su appuntamento.
Gli spazi rurali intendono riportare gli artisti en plein air, offrendo un'alternativa valida agli hangar o ai white cube, un dedalo di stanze in cui esprimere e sperimentare la creatività in totale libertà. Cascina I.D.E.A. rappresenta una fisiologica evoluzione del progetto Cascina Maria, residenza d’artista nata nel 2017 e da poco conclusasi, che ha ospitato artisti del calibro di Igshaan Adams, Francesco Arena, Riccardo Beretta, Christiane Löhr ed Eva Kot’átková.
Varcando la soglia della cascina si viene accolti dalla prima mostra monografica di Federico Pepe, The bits you remember when you wake up, a cura di Marco Tagliafierro, in cui quadri, sculture, carte da parati, tappeti, oggetti di design e prodotti editoriali interagiscono come elementi complementari di un immaginario in continuo divenire che l’artista dirige in un incessante e sincretico bisogno espressivo.
Gli esterni della residenza, infine, sono caratterizzati dagli interventi di Letizia Cariello e Giulia D'Olio, capaci di restituire non solo la poliedricità degli intenti ma anche il senso di “fucina” del luogo, creando una relazione osmotica tra contenitore e contenuto. Letizia Cariello ha guardato e ascoltato le pareti della dimora, dando vita ad un incastro perfetto di forme in una chiave di violino realizzata in azzurro e rosso: con l'intervento site-specific permanente Musica delle sfere celesti, l’artista abbraccia così tutte le facciate esterne della dimora, in un equilibrio perfetto di colore, movimento e fluire del tempo. L’opera di Giulia D'Olio coinvolge invece un muro di recinzione della proprietà: con g 19] [195 d, l’artista utilizza ogni dettaglio, ogni crepa, come occasione comunicativa e investe le pareti di gesti pittorici di cancellazione.
